How it works
Every message takes the same path. Here is what happens to it on the way.
Each message, photo, file and voice note is sealed on your device before it is sent. The keys never leave your devices.
Our server carries the sealed message but cannot open it. It deletes it once it is delivered, or after 30 days if a device never comes back for it.
Only the devices in the chat can open it. Not even Hailmo can read it.
Voice and video calls, group calls and screen sharing are sealed frame by frame, even when a call passes through Hailmo's server.

A chat with a business is end-to-end encrypted as well, unless that business keeps its chats online. If it does, the top of the chat tells you.
No ads, no ad tracking and no advertising ID. Your data is never sold.
When a call passes through our server, the server still cannot hear or see it.
When you look for friends, the numbers are compared and then forgotten. They are never stored.
We ask your date of birth once, to check your age. We never store it.
A sealed message is deleted from our server once it is delivered. It waits 30 days at most for a device that never comes back.

We would rather tell you than leave you guessing.
Even in an end-to-end encrypted chat, our server sees what it needs to deliver a message: who it is from and to, when, what kind it is and how big. It never sees what the message says. Read the privacy policy
Hailmo is a free private messenger for people and businesses. You get chats, groups, communities, channels, status updates and voice and video calls. Businesses get a verified profile, a catalogue, orders and a shared team inbox. Chats and calls between people are end-to-end encrypted. Hailmo also has an optional AI assistant for adults.
Yes. Hailmo is free, with no ads and no ad tracking. Orders in Hailmo are requests, so you and the business arrange payment outside the app.
Yes, an optional one. It lives in its own chat, is for adults aged 18 and over, and works in personal accounts only. It stays off until you agree, and each person can ask a limited number of questions per day.

Yes. A business gets a verified profile with a catalogue, order requests in the chat, a shared team inbox, quick replies, templates, forms, broadcasts, labels, customer lists, a QR code, a short link, and greeting and away messages. Business tools are for adults aged 18 and over.
Team members ask to join the business and the owner approves them. Everyone then answers customers from the business inbox. They take a chat or assign it to a teammate, write internal notes only the team sees, and use quick replies. The owner chooses whether a member sees all chats, only their own and new ones, or only their own.
Type your email address and Hailmo sends you a six-digit code and a sign-in link. Use either one. A new address creates your account. A password is optional.

Ten languages. They are English, Arabic, French, Spanish, Dutch, German, Portuguese, Italian, Turkish and Persian. Arabic and Persian are shown right to left.
Yes. One phone can hold your personal account and a business or freelancer account, and you can switch between them. You can also link more devices to your account in Settings, and confirm each new device.

Orders are not end-to-end encrypted, because an order is the business's record of the sale.
Open the chat or their profile and choose Block or Report. You can report messages, people, groups, business names and sticker packs. Our staff review reports, and you can appeal a decision.
