Delete your account
You can delete your Hailmo account yourself, at any time. Deleting is permanent and cannot be undone.
In the app
- Open Hailmo and sign in.
- Open Settings and choose Data and storage.
- Choose Delete my account and read what will be deleted.
- Confirm. Your account is closed and you are signed out.
On the web, without the app
Open app.hailmo.com/delete-account in any browser, sign in and follow the same steps. You do not need to install the app.
What is deleted
- Deleted at once: your profile, photo and login.
- Kept: messages you sent in conversations with a business stay with that business, shown as sent by a former member.
- Backups, search entries and caches take up to 30 days to clear completely.
- Your chat backups can no longer be opened, because the key to them is deleted with your account.
Before you delete
If you want a copy of your data, ask for an export first. In the app, open Settings, then Data and storage. An export is made when you ask and we keep no copy. The Privacy policy lists everything we keep and for how long.
